🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On October 28, 2012, a witness in Marseille observed a luminous phenomenon in the sky. From her balcony, she saw a shiny cylindrical object with a silver color and a small red halo on the left side. The object moved slowly westward but vanished after 15 seconds when the witness returned with her camera. No noise or smoke was reported. Only one testimony was collected. Although the GEIPAN considered it could be an aircraft lit by the sun, the witness noted the lack of wings and the quick disappearance. The observation duration and limited viewing angle also raised questions. Ultimately, the case was classified as "Airplane".
