UFO identified as ship light in France

Summary

On November 25, 2012, two witnesses in the Var region of France observed a bright point near the Embiez island. Intrigued, they followed the phenomenon for about three hours. Thanks to the help of an employee from the "Marine Traffic" service, it was identified that the object was the container ship "Mol Marvel", sailing south of Toulon. The ship's size, speed, and distance from the coast matched the testimonies and photos taken by the witnesses. The GEIPAN classified the case as "A", indicating the phenomenon was clearly identified.
