On the morning of December 12, 2012, a witness in Carbonne, Haute-Garonne, noticed a loud noise followed by a luminous phenomenon and the rapid passage of a blue or yellow ball. No trail was observed, but the description clearly points to a bright fireball lasting a few seconds. The event occurred near the peak of the Geminids meteor shower. The BOAM network, which records such events, noted several similar occurrences at the time, but likely missed this one due to its location south of Toulouse. The GEIPAN classified this case as "B," attributing it to a fireball likely linked to the Geminids.
