On December 28, 2012 at 9:45 PM, a witness driving on the A61 highway near Toulouse observed an unusual luminous phenomenon. While traveling, they noticed two horizontal white lights very close and at low altitude, followed by a central white light illuminating the ground. Then, the lights turned off and 6 to 8 rectangular light spots blinked in yellow and orange. The witness stopped at a gas station, but trees blocked the view. Despite the highway being very busy, no other reports were received. The investigation found no additional witnesses, complicating the interpretation of the event. The witness, sincere and detailed, returned to the location the next day and contacted authorities. Although reflections from car lights are considered likely, the testimony is credible and the case is classified as B.
