Solar Reflections in the Sky over Tavel

Summary

On December 29, 2012, two people in a car observed between 8 and 10 white luminous objects in the sky. The single collected testimony mentions that no sound was heard during the observation. The witness submitted a set of photos taken with their mobile phone to the GEIPAN. These images show various bright shapes, but the witness did not specify which ones were visible to the naked eye. The photos show reflections on the camera lens or windshield. With the naked eye, the witness noticed reflections on the windshield, but upon reviewing the photos, they discovered even more surprising effects. Given the vehicle's position facing south and the time near the winter solstice, the conditions were ideal for observing multiple solar reflections on windows or lenses.
