A witness at the highest point of Col de l'Escrinet in Ardèche saw a luminous phenomenon with a wide yellow trail crossing the sky from west to east. The sighting coincided with another report by a commercial airline pilot, and other accounts appeared in the press. Although classified as case B (unidentified), experts suggest it could be the atmospheric re-entry of a satellite fragment, possibly from Iridium 33. The witnesses' descriptions support this hypothesis, though other explanations remain possible.
