🇺🇸 CIA
In 1953, the CIA formed a scientific panel to study unidentified flying objects. Led by Dr. H. E. Robertson, the group included notable experts such as Samuel Goudsmit and Luis W. Alvarez. Their report concluded that most sightings could be explained by natural phenomena or human error. However, some parts of the document remained classified, particularly those involving the Agency's direct involvement.
The document reveals that although certain conclusions and recommendations were declassified, others remained secret. This included the panel's connection to the CIA, deemed sensitive. The authors had agreed that the panel members' names should not be made public, although the Air Force stated they would only be used within official circles. Despite this, the risk of leaks was real, and precautions were taken to limit disclosure. This document is a historical record of how authorities handled UFO sightings with caution and discretion.
