UFO in Bastia, sighting and landing plane

Summary

On February 7, 2013, a witness and his wife observed a slowly moving object that intrigued them. The witness described the object as a luminous shape that later turned into a dark cylindrical form, typical characteristics of an airplane landing. The time of the sighting, 21:45, coincides with the arrival of the Air Corsica flight from Marseille to Bastia, which departed at 21:05 and landed at 21:55. The Bastia Poretta airport is located about 3-4 kilometers from the observation site, to the northwest. The approach routes of the airport, especially the one used that day with a southwest wind, match what the witness saw.

What was surprising was that the witness considered the object to be lower than usual for an airplane. This could be due to the fact that he was not at home, giving him a different perspective. It is also possible that the pilot used a lower approach altitude that day for personal reasons. The GEIPAN classified the case as "A", attributing it to the Marseille-Bastia flight landing.
