On February 3, 2013, two people in Halluín (France) observed orange, slightly flattened, luminous objects passing above their homes. The objects appeared in two separate moments, five minutes apart, and the observation lasted about ten minutes. Moving silently from southeast to northeast, the objects disappeared at altitude. Despite the witness estimating a close distance, no photographs were taken. The description and context, including the time of night and the shape, strongly resemble Thai lanterns.
Meteorological data showed variable winds not exactly aligned with the objects' movement. However, the slight elevation of Mont d'Halluín, rising 30 meters above the plain, might have influenced their trajectory. These factors led to the case being classified as "B," meaning a probable observation of unidentified objects, but with a plausible explanation linked to known phenomena.
