Summary

On March 31, 2013, three people in Marseille observed an orange, intensely luminous object moving silently across the sky. The object appeared from the west, passed over their homes, then turned toward the southeast. Only one witness was interviewed, but their description matched the wind direction recorded that night in Marignane. GEIPAN researchers concluded it was likely a Thai lantern, known for its linear, silent movement with the wind. Although the launcher was not identified, the case was classified as "B" due to its low strangeness and typical characteristics of such objects.
