🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On March 26, 2013, a driver near Fontaine-les-Dijon observed a bright orange object surrounded by white points. The phenomenon was quick and striking, though the evidence is limited: only one witness and unusable photographs. Although the observer was unsure, he thought it might be a UFO. However, the GEIPAN investigation concluded it was likely an airplane. Radar data confirmed the presence of a flight whose route and timing matched the observation. Despite this, the testimony lacks precision and the witness seems to have interpreted what he saw through his emotional state and personal situation, such as fatigue and night driving. The case was classified as B, meaning a likely misinterpretation of a conventional object.
