Summary

On May 11, 2013, around midnight, a driver near Le Chatelet (Cher) observed the silent movement of several orange glowing spheres in the sky. According to the witness, the objects moved at low altitude, under the clouds, following a straight trajectory northeast toward Marcais. The witness took photographs, but no originals were received. No other testimonies were collected. Meteorological data indicated that the wind in the area was blowing from the southwest, making the hypothesis of flying lanterns plausible. Long evenings in May are often associated with celebrations and the launching of such lanterns. The case was classified as B, meaning it is likely the observation of Thai lanterns.
