Reflection of streetlights on antenna in Poussan

Summary

On June 7, 2013, a witness in Poussan (France) noticed a luminous phenomenon in the sky. He described a white point with a horizontal trail and a pinkish curved shape below it. No unusual noise was heard. The next night, the witness made the same observation. The GEIPAN sent someone to investigate the area at night, but without success. Eventually, the witness himself, with a neighbor, carefully observed the phenomenon and identified it as a reflection of streetlights on an antenna. The photos taken confirmed this explanation. One image, taken with a short exposure, showed what the witness saw with the naked eye, while another, with a longer exposure, revealed the origin of the phenomenon.
