🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In June 2013, a witness in Assevillers (France) reported observing a luminous phenomenon moving from south to east. The bright white light, about four times the size of a star, moved near the witness's home and made rapid zigzag movements before disappearing. The witness gave conflicting times for the event: 23h18, 22h48, and 23h30 were all mentioned at different times. On June 5, the same phenomenon was observed at 23h45, and Calsky confirmed it was the International Space Station (ISS). However, for June 3, the lack of precise timing made a definitive identification difficult. The described directional changes contradicted the ISS trajectory, but the GEIPAN classified the case as B, considering it likely the ISS, with a slight margin of doubt.
