Summary

On June 22, 2013, two witnesses observed a perfectly aligned series of red and orange-yellow points that appeared to pulse or flicker toward the summit of Sous-Dine. The phenomenon, initially static, quickly disappeared, merging into an orange mass. Only one account was collected, accompanied by photographs. The witness believed they were looking southeast, but Sous-Dine was directly south. Although the witness thought the objects were above the mountain, they were likely much closer, but the alignment with the peak created a misleading impression. A preliminary analysis suggested the lights could have been Thai lanterns, located 5 to 10 km from the witness, at an altitude 500 to 1000 meters above their position. However, meteorological data could not confirm wind direction that night, complicating verification. Additionally, while events took place in the area that day, no lantern launches were reported. Without further confirmation, the case was classified as "C".
