Summary

On June 22, 2013, after 10:30 PM, two people in Eybens (France) observed a luminous object moving silently and in a straight line across the sky. They described a very bright point slowly crossing the sky, which caught their attention. After analyzing the case, the GEIPAN concluded that the observed phenomenon was likely the International Space Station (ISS), which was recorded passing through the sky between 10:45 PM and 10:52 PM. However, there were some discrepancies between the time and position reported by the witnesses and the simulations. Despite this, the GEIPAN classified the case as "B", indicating a probable observation of the ISS, although with some uncertainty.

The discrepancy between the estimated time reported by the witnesses ("10:30 PM might be more") and the simulated time suggests possible errors in perception or calculations. Additionally, the maximum altitude reported by the witnesses (90°) does not match the simulation (17.5°), which could be due to inaccuracies in the parameters used for the simulation. Nevertheless, the analysis confirms that the observed phenomenon was very likely the ISS, although with certain nuances that prevent absolute certainty.
