On July 3, 2013, between 10 p.m. and midnight, several observers in the cities of Apt and Aix-en-Provence witnessed luminous phenomena moving quickly and silently across the sky. These events generated curiosity and, given the time of year, were linked to the night training flights of the Patrouille de France, a French air formation known for its aerial displays. The investigation by the gendarmerie was swift and concluded with a classification A, indicating that the phenomenon was clearly identified. Additionally, a similar observation was recorded on July 5 of the same year at 22:22 in Villeneuve, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, reinforcing the hypothesis that these were military aircraft in training.
