🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On July 3, 2013, a witness in Grenoble observed luminous objects moving in waves across the sky for 15 minutes. While closing his shutters, he noticed the objects moving toward the southwest, following the local wind direction. Although the repetitive trajectories seemed consistent with the wind, the witness took photos and described a white light, similar to that of the moon. This led to the consideration of helium-filled LED balloons rather than typical Thai lanterns. The GEIPAN classified the case as "B," suggesting it was likely a sighting of luminous balloons. Although the time at dusk can alter color perception, and Wednesdays are less likely for festive balloon releases than Saturdays, the observation remains intriguing.
