On July 20, 2013, two witnesses observed two intense lights in the sky above Guerigny. One light was orange in color, and the other had a rare red-violet hue. Both moved silently and disappeared in different directions. Although only one testimony was collected, the case stood out for its originality. The lights did not follow the same trajectory, an unusual feature for this type of phenomenon. Meteorological data showed unstable winds in the area, which could explain the different paths of the lights. The GEIPAN classified the case as "B", attributing it to typical "Thai lanterns", albeit with some notable peculiarities.
