On July 7, 2013, during a night sky observation event organized by a UFO group, a witness reported a bright white point in the sky that suddenly changed direction. The object, seen above Montchevret, made a 90-degree turn in less than three seconds, heading toward the hamlet of Romandie. No noise or trails were reported, and no other witnesses were present. Although the account seems to suggest an unusual phenomenon, experts from GEIPAN considered it could be the combination of two different satellites entering and exiting the sunlit zone, creating the illusion of a single object changing course. However, the lack of cooperation from the witness and the context of the observation at a UFO event led GEIPAN to classify the case as "C" due to insufficient reliable information.
