In August 2013, a witness in Saint-Denis observed two luminous phenomena from their balcony. First, a bright red light for two minutes, slowly moving. Researchers from GEIPAN suggested it could be a Tibetan lantern carried by the wind. Later, an intense white light might have been a satellite, though its brightness didn't match predictions. Despite these possible explanations, GEIPAN found them insufficiently solid. They classified the case as "C", due to lack of information to confirm the hypotheses.
