🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
A family in Biarritz observed three glowing spheres on the night of August 12, 2013. Two followed a straight trajectory before rising into the clear sky, while the third changed color as it moved over houses. All disappeared at the same time. The GEIPAN classified this case as "A," attributing it to Thai lanterns. Weather conditions, with variable winds from the southwest, matched the observed eastward movement. Although the witness was unconvinced, a YouTube video supported this explanation. The tourist location and summer season also favored lantern releases during local celebrations.
