On August 31, 2013, an amateur astronomer and his friends observed an intermittent white light in the constellation of Pegasus from Chalamazel (Loire) between 22:40 and 23:00. Two other witnesses also saw the phenomenon but could not be contacted. The case is considered to have low strangeness and medium consistency, as only one testimony was collected. The investigation suggests a possible misidentification with a satellite at very high altitude rotating rapidly. At the time of the sighting, at least seven satellites were present in the area. The observer's visual perception is not in question, but rather his emotional interpretation of the event, including surprise and the brief duration of the flashes.
