UFO in Bastia 2013

Summary

On August 5, 2013, several witnesses in Bastia observed five silent, moving lights traveling north to south over the sea. The GEIPAN investigated and concluded that these were the lights of Air Corsica flight 514 AT, traveling from Paris to Bastia. The flight had a significant delay, landing at 00:02, which matched the time the witnesses reported the lights. It was explained that the white lights could be the landing and position lights of the Airbus A320. The lights' geometry changed as the plane turned and began its descent. Additionally, no further unusual reports were made in the following days, and no other witnesses were found. Ultimately, the GEIPAN classified the case as "A," meaning it was explained as an aircraft landing.
