On September 14, 2013, between 11:45 PM and midnight, two witnesses in Lezignan-la-Cebé observed a series of bright white circles in the sky. The phenomenon was silent, which intrigued the witnesses. The appearance of the circles resembled a "sky tracer" lighting system, often used in nightclubs and events. A nightclub in Pèzenas confirmed having used such a system that night for a special event. The witnesses saw the phenomenon toward the south, and the weather report from Montpellier indicated a cloudy sky, ideal for such light effects. The case was classified as "A", meaning a certain observation of a "sky tracer" type lighting display.
