On September 22, 2013, several witnesses in Morbihan observed a luminous phenomenon in the sky that intrigued them. A witness in a car described a silver spherical shape that transformed into a bright elongated form. It appeared stationary, then split and disappeared. Radar data showed an aircraft at high altitude (black trace) and another at low altitude (red trace) moving away from the observer. The latter, moving in line with the observer's line of sight, seemed static. When it changed direction at 18:50, the reflection changed and disappeared, suggesting the object itself vanished. Ultimately, it was determined that the phenomenon was a reflection of the sun on an aircraft. The GEIPAN classified the case as "A," meaning fully explained.
