Summary

On September 28, 2013, at around 9 p.m., a witness observed eight bright red objects crossing the sky from east to west along the same trajectory. The description of multiple red shapes moving in the same direction as the southeast wind immediately suggested the possibility of Thai lanterns. These floating lanterns are often released during festivals and are common in areas with favorable winds. The GEIPAN classified this case as category "B", considering it a likely conventional observation of such lanterns. Although an unusual phenomenon was not ruled out, the context and the witness's description clearly pointed to a terrestrial explanation.
