Summary

A witness in France reported on October 3, 2013, two silent, luminous points moving symmetrically and at the same speed across the sky. At first glance, it might seem like an UFO sighting, but after checking with the Calsky.com website, it was determined that this was the Yaogan 17 Chinese satellite trio passing overhead. Launched on September 1, 2013, these satellites are known for reflecting little sunlight, but in certain orientations they can appear brighter. The match in time and trajectory led the GEIPAN to classify the case as "B"—a very likely observation of Yaogan satellites.
