🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On the night of February 23, 2014, a couple in Beaumont-en-Véron observed a very bright light moving silently and in a straight line. The light turned red before disappearing toward the west, making several up-and-down movements. The phenomenon lasted between 2 and 3 minutes. Although initially intriguing, the GEIPAN classified this as likely a Thai lantern. The wind and weather conditions align with this explanation, though such lanterns are more common on Saturday nights than Sundays.
