On the night of April 24, 2014, a witness in Saint-Pey-de-Castets observed two luminous objects. First, a white sphere was seen, followed by a cigar-shaped object with green, red, and white lights. The absence of noise led the witness to rule out a plane. However, the investigation revealed that the objects were an artificial satellite (NOSS 3-6 Rocket) and a commercial aircraft (B737 or A330). The matching trajectories and descriptions confirm the confusion. The witness did not hear the plane due to distance and wind direction, reinforcing the belief it wasn't an aircraft. Ultimately, the case was classified as "solved" due to a simple misidentification with known objects.
