Summary

On May 5, 2014, a witness and a friend observed a flashing white light crossing the sky from west to east in 20 seconds. Although only one testimony was collected, data from the Calsky website confirmed that the satellite Sinosat 2 Rocket was passing over the region at 18:33, following a west-to-east trajectory matching the observation. An independent observer reported a photometric period of 4 to 4.5 seconds, consistent with the flashing pattern described. Although the satellite's full pass lasted 6 minutes, the witness only observed it during the highest part of its trajectory, above 75°. The GEIPAN classified the case as "A," meaning fully identified.
