On June 1, 2014, at 11 p.m., a witness in Fere-en-Tardenois (Aisne) observed three luminous points silently crossing the sky at high speed. The description matched that of a fireball, suggesting from the start a possible confusion with a known astronomical phenomenon. Although the testimony was unique and not very detailed, a meteor was recorded around that time, although its trajectory did not exactly match. In addition, another independent testimony published online showed similarities with the PAN observation. Ultimately, the case was classified as B, meaning a likely confusion with the observation of a fireball. Interestingly, a few minutes earlier, another sighting was recorded in Etrelles (35), suggesting a possible link between the two events.
