🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On August 3, 2014, around 10:30 PM, a witness observed a bright white point moving silently from the southwest to the northeast at a speed similar to that of an airplane. Although the testimony is singular, the description matches the trajectory of the International Space Station (ISS). According to the Calsky website, the ISS indeed passed over the area between 10:36 PM and 10:45 PM, in the same direction mentioned. The GEIPAN, the French organization responsible for studying such cases, classified the event as "A", meaning attributed to the ISS. Although the witness did not immediately recognize the spacecraft, the data confirm that the observed object was not an unexplained phenomenon, but a known object in orbit.
