🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On August 4, 2013, a couple in Nissan-lez-Enserune (France) observed a bright white point moving in a straight line at a speed similar to a commercial airplane, but without blinking or making noise. The witness took two photos with a regular camera and was surprised when zooming in on the images on his computer. However, there were no other witnesses, and the report was based mainly on what appeared in the photos, not on what was seen with the naked eye. The GEIPAN concluded that the object was most likely a satellite, as several passed through the area at the reported time. Due to the inability to confirm the unusual features in the images, the case was classified as "A," meaning a satellite observation.
