Summary

In February 2009, several residents of Brienne-la-Vieille observed an unusual light in the sky. A witness described a large luminous object with changing colors, stationary for two hours without producing any sound. Despite the duration and apparent stillness of the object, no noise or additional details were recorded. A similar phenomenon had occurred five days earlier in the same area. The investigation concluded it was likely a misidentification of an astronomical object. Although Venus was considered a possible explanation, the lack of precise data such as exact direction prevented confirmation. The case was classified as low strangeness and medium consistency.
