On September 22, 2013, a witness in Salies-de-Bearn noticed a thin, long cylindrical object in the sky. The object was moving faster than a previously seen airplane and disappeared toward the southwest. Although the testimony is fairly detailed, there are no photos or additional data to confirm the object's identity. Investigators concluded it was likely a commercial airplane illuminated by the rising sun. The case was classified as "B," indicating no unexplained elements, just unusual conditions that have a conventional explanation.
