🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In October 2013, a witness in Aigues-Mortes observed 9 bright points forming a square pattern. The points gradually disappeared while moving from right to left. The witness took photos, but no other testimonies were reported. The GEIPAN classified the case as "B", meaning likely festive balloons reflecting sunlight. The north wind that day supported this theory, as the balloons could have been released during a local celebration. Although the case showed little strangeness, the delay of more than a year between the observation and the report led the GEIPAN to not conduct further investigations.
