Summary

On June 2, 2014, three friends observed from a window a luminous red-orange ball moving at a constant speed across the sky. The object made no noise and remained visible for three to four minutes. Initially thought to be a Thai lantern, weather conditions did not support this hypothesis. The light northerly wind was insufficient to explain the object's movement. Additionally, lantern releases were uncommon during that week, complicating the explanation. Ultimately, the GEIPAN considered the case not unusual and noted a delay of over eight months before the report was filed, so no field investigation was launched.
