In September 2014, a bright bolide was observed and recorded in Toulouse, France, for more than 10 seconds. Witnesses in Toulouse and Gleize reported the phenomenon, which was also captured by the GEIPAN camera. The object crossed the southern horizon from west to east at a low altitude, visible even in Perpignan. Local media described it as a new asteroid in the Catalan sky. The phenomenon, classified as a meteor entering the atmosphere, occurred between 60 and 25 km in altitude, ending over the Mediterranean. Its grazing trajectory explained the prolonged duration. Unlike another bolide observed on September 7, this one had a more horizontal path. It was not space debris, as the speed and lack of known re-entry records ruled it out. With multiple testimonies and recordings, the case was classified as "A" by the GEIPAN: a well-explained phenomenon as the entry of a meteor.
