🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On September 27, 2014, a witness in Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne) observed a light in the sky. They saw a round, orange-yellow object silently crossing the sky in two minutes. The description of a glowing ball moving without noise during the night clearly evokes a Chinese lantern. These traditional lights are often released during private celebrations. The object's trajectory, from northeast to northwest, matches the wind direction recorded in the area that day. The GEIPAN classified the case as "B", indicating it was likely a Chinese lantern. Although the investigation was closed, the witness's account retains a certain mystery, typical of UFO cases.
