On September 12, 2014, a witness in Saussét-les-Pines (France) observed an unusual phenomenon in the sky. As the sun was setting, the witness looked west and saw what appeared to be a "fuselage" nearly stationary with a "V"-shaped trail. The witness was intrigued by the object's unusual appearance. Although only one testimony was collected, GEIPAN researchers considered it could be an airplane contrail seen head-on at sunset. This kind of phenomenon can appear unusual under certain lighting conditions.
