Guerting 2015, ISS observation mistaken for a UFO

Summary

A man and his son in Guerting (France) observed on February 11, 2015, at 18:40, a bright point in the sky moving faster than a commercial airplane. The object passed over the roof of their building and gradually disappeared. Although the witness described the event as unusual, the GEIPAN analysis determined it was the International Space Station (ISS). Calculations from Calsky confirmed that the ISS was indeed visible in the sky at that exact time. However, there was a small error in the initial azimuth direction due to a mistake in the form. The case was classified as "A", indicating a normal observation explainable by known orbital objects.
