Summary

On the night of February 22, 2015, a witness observed from a window an orange light moving across a clear sky. Over time, they counted 27 identical lights coming from the northeast and disappearing rapidly toward the east. The observation lasted 34 minutes without any sound, and no photographs were taken or other witnesses reported. The most plausible hypothesis, according to the GEIPAN, is that these were Thai lanterns released after a private celebration. Although the organizers were not identified, elements such as color, duration, trajectory, and timing align with this explanation. The rapid disappearance of the lights is interpreted as the natural extinction of the lanterns, leading the witness to believe they were moving away very quickly.
