On February 10, 2015, a witness in Saint-Yriéix-la-Perche observed five orange glowing balls moving silently toward him for about 5 to 7 minutes. Each ball had a brighter halo and disappeared one after another. Although the phenomenon seemed unusual, the GEIPAN classified the case as "B," suggesting it was likely a sighting of flying lanterns. These are often released during private celebrations, and the date coincided with school holidays and a possible carnival event. Additionally, the northeast wind speed recorded in Limoges matched the observed movement of the objects.
