🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On April 12, 2015, a witness in Plaisir (France) observed a dark, lens-shaped object moving rapidly at low altitude. The object was seen for about 30 seconds, and although the witness described it as fast and distant, radar data suggests it might have been a small plane flying under visual flight rules (VFR). The aircraft's trajectory, slowly ascending from east to west, matches the witness's description. Due to the low angular elevation and the sun's position, the wings of the plane could have been difficult to see, which may explain the perception of an unusual object. The GEIPAN classified the case as B, indicating it was likely a conventional aircraft, but with uncertainty about the exact time of the observation.
