On May 7, 2015, a witness in Tours (France) observed a very bright spherical object in the sky for one hour. The object followed a vertical descending trajectory. Although the witness thought it was located to the East-Southeast, near the Basilica of Saint Martin, the investigation showed that the basilica is actually to the Northwest of his location. The case was classified as "A", indicating a certain observation of the planet Venus, very low on the horizon. The witness's geographical confusion does not invalidate the astronomical identification.
