On May 31, 2015, a witness in Eure-et-Loir observed a bright point moving from south to north. Soon after, more than a dozen white and red lights were seen silently moving across the sky. Despite the duration and number of lights, no other witnesses were found. The GEIPAN, classifying this case as "B," suggests the lights were likely Thai lanterns released after a private celebration. The triangular shape described by the witness matches the illuminated part of such lanterns. Moreover, the movement direction (south to north) aligns with the winds recorded in the area that day.
