On June 14, 2015, a witness in Orly-sur-Morin observed between 3:28 and 3:45 an oval-shaped object in the sky, yellow-orange in color and of large size. The object moved silently, making unusual movements and stops before disappearing. When meeting another person, both confirmed the observation and continued to see the phenomenon in another area. Although photos and videos were taken, they were not useful. Only one testimony was recorded. GEIPAN investigators concluded that the phenomenon could be explained by a laser from a nightclub, such as a "sky tracker," used on weekend nights. A nightclub in Jouy-sur-Morin, within the theoretical visibility range, could have been the source. Although it could not be confirmed that the laser was active that night, other elements support this hypothesis. The witness questioned the lack of a visible beam from the ground, but investigators explained that weather conditions and pollution could make the beam invisible. With good visibility and no precipitation, it was likely that the beam was not visible. Therefore, the case was classified as "B," probably a sky tracker laser.
