🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On June 24, 2015, a witness in Brunstatt (France) observed around 21:45 a dozen bright lights moving over a hill and trees. The phenomenon lasted about 15 minutes and was silent, which caught the witness's attention while watching TV. Although the testimony mentions movement toward the west, the drawing indicates a path from northeast to southwest. Weather data from the area align with a north wind that could explain the movement of the objects. The GEIPAN classified the case as likely caused by LED-lit balloons or Thai lanterns, especially due to the variety of colors and the prolonged duration of the event.
