🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On June 5, 2015, a witness and his wife observed a series of red lights moving slowly and silently eastward from their bathroom window. The event occurred on a clear night, allowing for a good view of the sky. The witness reported the incident to the gendarmerie, but no other testimonies were collected. Given the description of the lights as orange balls crossing the sky within minutes, the possibility of Thai lanterns released after a private party was considered. However, the GEIPAN could not confirm this hypothesis due to a lack of precise information about the local wind at that moment. The case was ultimately classified as "C" due to the absence of photographs and detailed local wind data.
